Process Post #3

This week it is all coming together for Frankies Fork, and for that I am thankful. I think I can officially add WordPress to the resume, which two weeks ago, was a sentence I never thought I would say. The website is now fully functional, I have gained a decent understanding of how to operate WordPress, my posts are beginning to fill up my website with content and today, I created an Instagram. The Instagram is @frankiesforkblog and has featured this weeks blog post, as well as my site logo as the profile picture. I also began following some friends and family to build a small-community to begin promoting my site in. This is an exciting place to arrive at, as the last couple weeks of trial and error have been frustrating to say the least. My site does have a long way to go aesthetically, however, my vision board on Pinterest involves a lot of media, colour, typography and design choices that I need to learn how to execute. The red and blue theme is fun and feels very authentic to me, but I do envision a lot of pinks, oranges, and pattern in my site. I also want to include fonts that are exciting and unique, potentially moving into importing custom fonts from other sites. These are changes I want to begin making after our first peer review exercise, as the feedback from an in-depth analysis would be very helpful in guiding my upcoming design choices. For now though, I am starting to feel excited and inspired by my blog, which is a great place to be in as we move through week 3 and into week 4.
